The acclaimed Northwest Boychoir (“miraculously pure intonation and impressive diction” -The Seattle Times) joins SMCO for a program of unforgettable works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, together with the combined choruses of Vocalpoint! Seattle. The choruses are featured on Mozart’s Missa brevis in B flat, a work traditionally presented by boychoir in mass services at the Imperial Court Chapel of Vienna’s famous Hofburg Palace. Mozart’s stunning Ave verum corpus and a cappella works by his under-appreciated Brazilian contemporary, José Maurício Nunes Garcia, will also be performed. Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra will present Mozart’s Overture to Lucio Silla and his monumental Symphony No. 41, “Jupiter.”
